it's nowhere near midnight where i am, but of course, some are already in the new year. 

so, happy new year! i hope 2025 is filled with happiness and love. it's sure to be an... eventful year ahead, to say the least, but. i do believe there is light to be found in all places, no matter how big or small.

do you guys set resolutions? it's never really been a thing for me. but regardless, i do hope that i make it through this year and start the next chapter of my life beyond high school well :). and that i stay with this blog and spacehey!!! two of my favorite places fr, i'm so grateful to be there~ i especially hope i talk to more ppl! but we'll see~

i've never been one for parties. but i've always loved party music!

all that glitters

honestly, i don't think i've ever loved the color yellow that much. but it's always described in such a romantic way, isn't it? both the sun and the moon. stars. sunflowers, dandelions. the effect someone's smile has. gold, if one's more materialistically inclined.

for ages, it's been used to represent brightness. or something that is bright, i think. something that shines. unable to truly capture the sun's warmth and light, many use the color yellow. in sunrise and sunset, the world is painted in it.

i dunno. the idea came to me while i was listening to the coldplay song, and how the singer dedicates so much to the listener, the fact that the listener is awash with the color, encapsulates it. it's sweet, isn't it? like honey. haha.

the other day, i realized just how many paper greeting cards i have, though it's been many years since i actively collected them.

went on a sort of incredibles lore binge the other night. i used to really like that movie when i was tiny, but  haven't really thought much about it until a video about the kronos system syndrome created popped up in my recommended. (and cod, that was chilling. the context flew over my head as a child obvi, but the atmosphere always scared me. and now, that horror is even more genuine. should rewatch it.)

sorry it's so late again. today was pretty alright, and i'm excited for the week ahead. ate some gyoza and had boba, then took a cozy nap. (with two blankets! hehe.)

okay! i've been meaning to write out this little blog post for a while, and i think you've probably seen this coming, but. i wanna share this artist i recently stumbled across called vono! 

i currently have one of their songs on my spacehey profile, since a lot of their sound right now fits into the cybersphere so well! their songs always feel so cool and nostalgic, like a checkpoint screen in the game of life. or a peek into the futuristic, glossy tech-focused worlds of the 2000s. super cool! if you're into the cybersphere like i am, check them out~

just finished an auto test shortly ago... i think i did okay, though of course you never know. our teacher made hot chocolate, which was good. and thankfully, that makes it one midterm down. one to go.

today was pretty alright. neither of my classes today had a midterm, and we even had a party in the second class! ppl brought food and drinks, and we watched home alone 2. it was nice. 

i really miss class parties, you know. we used to have them every year.

realized last night that i've been a kat-tun fan for a year (not quite hyphen, so). i'll probs have a blog post about that up soon, with all my thoughts and reflections. 

i've been trying to come up with more ideas for my january layout-- i sorta want to return to the gokusen ii one i had. it was really comfy, and i think i need that. found out about the css background-blend-mode property, which was super cool!!! definitely planning to use that in the future.

also went on a deep dive today and found some cool new (to me) pics of akanishi, so you shall have fresh akanishi images soon~

finally, the end of friday. i don't really have much to look forward to for the weekend, and admittedly i'm not feeling too emotionally well. but i'm at least glad i got an ap chem quiz out of the way, and auto's going pretty smoothly. less things to worry about.

spent most of my free time between classes playing ipod solitaire today while listening to paramore, lolz. that was really nice, actually. felt like a fulfilled teenager at school. if it was 2008 or smthn. oh well.
