truthfully, a part of me was a bit embarrassed to admit i played it for a long time. i don't know why. maybe it was because everyone else played roblox, and i felt like an awkward outsider because of it? eh. well, it doesn't matter anymore. i'm not really embarrassed now.

sorry i've been gone for a while, again. we've got some big tests coming up in my korean class-- only two more weeks to go, already! two more weeks after that, and then it's back to school for eels...

how have you been?

we're in the middle of a heat wave right now, but it's not that bad. i've been staying inside most of the time, except to take walks outside at night n look at the stars. couldn't really see anything notable as of late, aside from the full moon. it was surrounded by clouds... so beautiful. 

i also turned in my very first writing draft for my writing class. and got feedback on it this weekend, and did some peer review! so fun. i was inspired by grouper's song heavy water / i'd rather be sleeping. in general i've been listening to a lot of grouper as of late, but another post on that is coming soon.

my mom and i watched a kdrama last night, 구가의 서, which is about a demigod searching for a way to become fully human. it stars lee seunggi and bae suzy. it can get really dark and depressing, but there's a lot of wisdom in it, and very sweet moments.

i went out this afternoon with my mom to walk around a little shopping center. checked out the bath & body works since my mom was interested in the soap sale, as well as sephora. they have a new tinted sunscreen from beauty of joseon that i was able to match! i've always been in between shades for like... ever. so to see an actual match was amazing.

after that we got dinner at a burger place n went home :p haven't done much sense, but i found some cool dividers on tumblr that i wanna use to make a layout, and i'm currently making gifs from some tohoshinki mvs... teehee.

it is disgustingly late, but i wanted to get this in before i go to sleep.

new friendrewind layout! already... at first i wanted to use the editing skills i had with my background blend formula, but i ended up taking a stab at the grid code again. i think it turned out pretty well, though i need to mess with the margin and width properties tomorrow. and it's definitely not mobile friendly, but these things happen.

i was inspired by bento boxes. don't think i executed it as well as i'd like, but i have tomorrow to add some more tweaks n whatnot. goodnight everyone!

this is eugenol. used as a flavoring n aromatic (naturally found in spices such as cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, that sort of flavor) and sometimes in dentistry :) 

i don't exactly recall how i stumbled across it though. i was doing the summer assignment for ap chem, when i just started... scrolling through some database of compounds. no remembrance of what database it was, unfortunately.

new friendrewind layout, i think. not tested on mobile or tablet yet tho! and dunno how long i'll keep it. the dropdown links on hover won't change bg, even though i've tried a million different element tags for it. the link buttons also aren't vertically centering, even though i've tried changing the padding values on them. the nav bar throws me for so many loops, it's not even funny!!!!!!!!!!! i'm digitally dizzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but whatever. what do you guys think? due to these small things, i'm not sure. but i've been more into indie vibes this week, and wanted to make a layout that better reflected such.

also, orange. i don't like the color orange, and i've never liked citrus, but i feel like it fits the main theme song...

look at this site................... this is so sick. i always love seeing people rebuild myspace and myspace clones. they even have a working comment form and old music players from flash, emulated in ruffle! and they've even rebuilt some old band myspace pages!!!!!!!!!!! thursday!!!!!!!!!!!! 

i'm seriously interested in the music player most of all, if i'm being completely honest. it probs relies on mp3 files rather than youtube links, but. i should get more used to that practice. youtube embeds take up a lot of bandwidth, actually...

i don't really keep up with new releases as much as i used to when i first got into k-pop, but it's shinee. i had to see what they were up to.

and i fear... this will be my song of the summer. my jaw hit the ground when the pre-chorus hit, actually!!!! i knew from the intro that i'd love it, but that "slow it down" moment is such a hook. i luv it. and in general, the song is so nostalgic (early 4th gen house) yet fresh at the same time. it feels like bright summer days on the beach with those blue soda floats you see on pinterest all the time. 

10/10, no notes. i just wanted to put this down LOLZ.

kamenashi got married to his partner (his partner was the one who proposed, actually!), but now... just five hours later... suddenly his partner is the one "in love" and he's the one who's just "happy"???? LIKE HELLO????? kame, what happened... i'm sorta biting my nails and hoping that they don't get divorced literally ONE DAY after their marriage.

hm... do you guys have any guesses as for who kamenashi's partner is? you guys were onto something last post, so i'm curious as to what you guys will say now~ (heads up: amethyst does not show romantic interest in anyone, so she's not an option. my mii is taken as well. cough cough. um. my irl friend's mii also joined after kame got into his relationship.)

jaejoong and his partner are still going strong, though. when i last checked in, they were chatting with each other at the beach.

junsu now has a crush on cyworld, which... i did not expect. at all. to be honest, i was hoping she and someone else would get together, but i'll see how things unfold...
