weight off of my shoulders

strange day today. i practically did nothing, which is regrettable. i meant to work on my grad cap, but didn't.

but my sleep schedule was most strange. 

i fell asleep at four am (not good, i know), but then... woke up at eight???? in the morning???? and i couldn't get back to sleep at all. so i stayed awake until about... two? three? in the afternoon, and then woke up again at five. time is a strange soup in my brain currently. hopefully i can get that fixed before i start college, lolz.

as you can probably tell, i also got a charger for my laptop. it was six dollars and takes eight hours to bring it to a full charge, but it's better than nothing. i'll try to limit my use until i get something better. at least this way i can focus on things other than what goes on in the interwebs, you know? that's not too bad of a thing.

the yearbook finally came out today!!! and it's literally so beautiful. my kat-tun quote was also accepted, so i'm totally thrilled. i got a couple of signatures already-- to be honest i don't think i'll end up with many bcuz i don't really talk to that many people, but i'll still be happy with whoever does. can't wait to look at it closer when i get home~

my friend gave me a crazy story idea, which i'm currently brainstorming at the moment. and then i have a precalc final tomorrow (which i mentioned already i think), so i'll be putting together my cheat sheet through the night and hopefully get some practice done early tomorrow. well. see ya~

boring day back to school, got out early so that was alright... i have a precalc final in two days that i should study for, but i can't bring myself to... at least we were given a cheat sheet, so i'll try to get that filled out at least.

somehow i got seven hours of sleep in the night, but i still got a five-hour nap after school??? i don't know how that works. i don't know how i'm so tired all the time, even with a good nights sleep... is it my body just trying to catch up? idk.

i've just got a heinous idea as well... an atd-i fansite...

the soap turned out amazing!!!!! woooooooo!!!!!!! it made lots of bubbles, got a ph of about 8 now... so we took them out of the molds, and they look perfect~ gonna let mine cure a little longer though, keep it in my closet for a few more weeks. would that make it graduation soap? lolz. graduation gift for myself, for sticking through ap chem... and yearbooks should be coming in soon! i'm so excited~

thankfully i don't really have any outstanding homework today, so i have time to rest and relax. and eat yummy food, as always! and play splatoon, and read, and do all the fun things~ (i also meant to work on my atdi x splatoon fanart, but i'm still trying to figure out how to really portray curly hair. but the only way to do so is actually get it on paper, right~?)

today was senior ditch day, but i had no idea lolz. so in the classes that were purely senior, only me and one other person was there. though even if i did know, i still wouldn't have ditched. i have a lot of stuff to do and keep up with~

checked up on the soap today-- it's been about... five days since we started letting it sit? the ph is at 9, and it's pretty solid. but decided to let it sit for another day or so just in case, since if you poke it a film still forms away on your finger. but overall, looking pretty good! my lab partner and i were thinking of doing another batch if time and supplies allowed, so maybe...

in other news, i've been meaning to rewatch the tron movies lately. maybe i can do that this week / weekend.

since both my newfound interest in atdi and return to splatoon are totally raging right now, i've been having the idea of drawing atdi/splatoon fanart. i'm trying to figure out how to make the curly hair, because of all the hair rules, and generally how tentacles look. i think omar would would as an octoling, or maybe an urchin? if i make omar a sea urchin, then cedric could easily be an octoling. or maybe both? idk.

this sort of made me think about how many splatoon ocs one of my friends and i used to have. i wouldn't draw them (i drew cephalopods with no actual connection to our standard lore), but we kept tabs on them through messages and regular plot sessions in private lobbies. just the two of us, creating random characters and putting them through all these strange situations. they had relationships, set outfits, different abilities (some were psychic, others had technological advantages... one could transform into a pigeon). we had these great catastrophic events that would happen, like, every wednesday. 

it was a lot of fun, just having this entire other world that we developed. i don't think we'll develop it again, though, considering we've grown apart in the years since. it was mostly something we did in middle school, especially during the pandemic as we were inside so often. 

as i begin to forget them now, perhaps i should take action to preserve them. write them down somewhere, or draw them and share them. i dunno.

lately, i've been meaning to add some sort of follow button to this site, but i don't know how i could make that work. also an rss feed, but i don't know how those work either. so, some research is in order...

oh, also! a reason for celebration. my grade's gone up from a d+ to a c-. with this project, i think i could really make this a solid c to end the year! i'm hopeful.

i guess i'm in a weirdly still time right now. there's not much i can do, but so much to do. time still doesn't exactly feel real because of this.
