new friendrewind layout! already... sorry i keep changing it all the time. i really don't know how i wanna present myself.

this time around, i was inspired by fluffy visual novels / otome games and all the cute songs i've been listening to lately. the question is, is jaejoong in love with someone? or is he the person the player (myself </////3) is thinking about? who knows, who knows... tbh, i'd actually choose "write a love letter", but it would throw off the composition's balance. 

one thing is for sure, though: i'm glad to edit my own background again. headers are fun, but they don't cut it sometimes. i also have to edit it for mobile, but it should be easier this time around since i didn't mess with the layout in grid or anything.  

well, back to the school grind... at least my writing class starts today! i'm excited. :)

i listened through hearts2hearts' discography today. i keep reading that they're bringing back 2nd gen sounds and they're really good, and the curiosity got the best of me. their songs are nice to listen to, but i think i'd consider most of it more 3rd gen, actually. vaguely reminds me of twice and another gg, but i can't quite place it. 

do you guys like them?

i've also been in love with this breakcore mix recently. it's so soft and sweet.

fearful repetition

today was a good day.

we had two really big tests yesterday, and since we're officially halfway through the class, we got today off. i slept in, and the weather was much cooler today. i baked strawberry muffins, watched doctor who and rewatched steven universe, read lots of books. and i helped my mom cook dinner tonight, which was sautéed shrimp with zuchinni and rice. after that, i put together a blooket for our next chapter's vocabulary.

that aside, something has been on my mind a lot today.

sorry for my absence again ㅠㅠ the class has been kicking my butt, but we have a little break after tomorrow's exams, so i should be good to write for the rest of the week... my next class starts next monday also, so i might be especially scarce. sorry in advance!!!

not much is going on here because of aforementioned classes, but i did get back to watching more doctor who. and i want to bake strawberry muffins again tomorrow, if the weather is willing. it was 90f today.

also, that really old (relatively... it's really only nine months old) digitization of idols idea is poking at my brain again, and i might restart working on that. but i dunno, i'm on my computer so much, i'm getting tired of it.

the convention is tomorrow! i'm excited to finally get out of the house. and! uh. i finally got that super-short haircut i wanted.  

well, not exactly. my hair is straightened right now, so it looks the same length that it has been, but straightened. but when i wash my hair again n it shrinks back, it'll probs be a pixie cut. aside from the bangs... (but that's unavoidable, so i'm not upset.) i'll look a little strange for a while, and my mom isn't super happy with it, but honestly? it's so worth it. i've been wanting hair this short for almost a decade, and now it's here. i don't even care if it ends up looking bad on me, i'm just so happy. and it'll finally be cooler under this mass without needing to put it up in a brain-splitting claw clip or hair tie. idk about you guys, but whenever i put my hair up-- even as gently as possible-- it gives me a serious headache. which is sad, because they're so cute!

but anyway. my mom also said i look like the doctor! and i think that i look like i play space invaders and listen to math rock for eels. so, allons-y... to peak self-realization. still not sure what i should wear, tho.

i have another question today.

say that you really wanted to get to know someone. you usually rely on food to do so, and thus, you plan to hang out with them at a particular food establishment. what sort of food would you want to get with this person?  

i'd probably ask that person to go to a boba shop with me. because of how many options there are in boba shops-- from the drinks themselves, sugar levels, ice levels, toppings, drink size... i feel like there's a lot there that someone could learn from. ah! and snacks, of course, if there are snacks.

dim sum too, i feel. do they prefer dim sum to go, or sit-in? what items do they get? i tend to get pretty much all dumplings. if they sit in, do they get other dishes as well? do they get sweets? drinks? what sort of tea do they like with their dim sum, if they choose tea? how much tea do they drinks with their food?

anyway. i'm hungry now. i'm gonna eat! byeeeee :3

it is disgustingly late, but i wanted to get this in before i go to sleep.

new friendrewind layout! already... at first i wanted to use the editing skills i had with my background blend formula, but i ended up taking a stab at the grid code again. i think it turned out pretty well, though i need to mess with the margin and width properties tomorrow. and it's definitely not mobile friendly, but these things happen.

i was inspired by bento boxes. don't think i executed it as well as i'd like, but i have tomorrow to add some more tweaks n whatnot. goodnight everyone!

this is eugenol. used as a flavoring n aromatic (naturally found in spices such as cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, that sort of flavor) and sometimes in dentistry :) 

i don't exactly recall how i stumbled across it though. i was doing the summer assignment for ap chem, when i just started... scrolling through some database of compounds. no remembrance of what database it was, unfortunately.

YOU GUYS i feel so awesomeeeee :3 i had to recite a mini-skit with my friend today and complete a written exam, both of which i did really well on!!! i'm so happy :3 i wanna give myself a little treat for it, but idk what. maybe a slice of pizza will do. or perhaps i'll design something new today. find a game demo or five to try out? i love a free demo...

the fun thing is that i don't have any work due tomorrow, so i can rest easy for now.

i lost patience with postimages reviewing my header image, so i uploaded it to my neocities... can you guys see it now? do you like it? i was so proud of it, but after this weird struggle, i feel like i should just create a whole new layout instead lolz. so i'm sorting through ideas in my mind right now... something techcore again? back to the indie vibes?

new friendrewind layout, i think. not tested on mobile or tablet yet tho! and dunno how long i'll keep it. the dropdown links on hover won't change bg, even though i've tried a million different element tags for it. the link buttons also aren't vertically centering, even though i've tried changing the padding values on them. the nav bar throws me for so many loops, it's not even funny!!!!!!!!!!! i'm digitally dizzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but whatever. what do you guys think? due to these small things, i'm not sure. but i've been more into indie vibes this week, and wanted to make a layout that better reflected such.

also, orange. i don't like the color orange, and i've never liked citrus, but i feel like it fits the main theme song...

i wake and i fear and i sleep again

hello hello! sorry for my absence. i know i said the workload was manageable, but it still takes up much of my day. i've also been trying to figure out financial stuff, as my financial aid package and tuition calculations have been finalized. also researching library science master's programs. never to early to begin, as the mantra was back in ninth grade when we all had to make ten-year plans................... i still think that wasn't a great activity for a career prep class, but the time's already passed.

been listening to japanese breakfast a bit. i got one of their cds at my library a couple of days ago. and besides, my sister-in-law suggested them to me, and they keep popping up in my recommended all the time............. why did i not listen to them sooner????? cod. i jammed out to jubilee for the rest of the day. and math rock still, of course. i really wanna find a ttng cd now, or a great big pile of leaves. the latter has them up for $10 on bandcamp, which is sick :3 might take advantage of that if they're still in stock. ttng also has their albums (aside from the first, my favorite </3) on bandcamp digitally.

also looking into walkman mp3s more. again. i think i've zeroed in on the nwz-s760. they have a fairly good price on ebay, usually have 8gb of storage, and you can change the wallpaper... if i commit to getting it, i'll write a post here when it comes in! 

in other news! fromis_9 is coming back later this month~ i'm so excited! and i'm going to japantown with my irl friend tomorrow :333 we haven't met up in months, so i'm super happy to see her again. i even have an outfit picked out and everything.

first day of class! i woke up with wanna by kara playing in my head, for some reason, so i played it while i was getting ready. sort of felt like i was having my own fun intro in a movie, yk?

i had a really long post planned, but it's taken me so long, i think i have to postpone it for tomorrow or later this week. but, briefly, i wanted to share this image. i keep forgetting to whenever i scroll past it! 

they look like they're presenting their award-winning project at a science fair, lolz... i luv it. i think ueda's the one who did the art / designed the presentation board, kamenashi's the project leader, tanaka's the one who eagerly talks about it to viewers, nakamaru did most of the research, taguchi compiled all of their sources into a document everyone could reference back for their individual reflections, and akanishi provided the overall structure for said reflections as well as the essay overview given to viewers and their professor. yuuuuuppppppp.

i made lumpia with my mom today. if you'd like some, i'll share some web lumpia~ (no lumpia emoji, unfortunately </3). and i stumbled across this cute relaxation playlist on youtube. i think you guys would like it...!!!

HAPPY JULY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!! we are officially (a little bit more than) halfway through the year.............. and the july tag has returned!!!
