since i've been playing on my switch more often, i'm sifting through all my past splatoon memories again.

one that won't particularly leave me alone is the idea i had for a splatoon au back in middle school. this is a long post, so hold on tight!!!

i haven't been up to much, mostly resting. doing a lot of reading, which is fun! and i rewatched the lotr trilogy, extended version~ lots of fun. and now i've been watching a bunch of vids about the lore. do you guys like lotr as well? my fave character is probs legolas.

i went to the library today, and read some books. walked around a bit, got a mango agua fresca!!!!!! eep.

it's sort of random, but i'm glad i was able to spend my break with you guys. in the past, breaks often felt pretty lonely because all my irl friends were busy with other things. but i've been able to chat with you guys a whole bunch, so it doesn't really feel that way anymore. it's like we have our own little web neighborhood. so, thank you :) you guys make my life so might brighter. i hope i'm able to do the same for you.

aaaaaaaaaa you guyssssss!!!!!!!! a demo was just released today for the upcoming tomodachi life game. i downloaded it as soon as i could!!!

admittedly i should've played through it a little slower... i finished the whole demo in a few hours, haha... and i would show screenshots, but for some reason they aren't allowing screenshots and videos directly captured on the switch to be uploaded to other devices... ugh!!! maybe i'll take some pics thru my phone and show them that way. won't look pretty though, eep... ㅠㅠ

anyway. from here on out there's a good chunk of spoilers, so keep ur eyes closed if u don't wanna see them!!!

not much went on today. i went to the store with my mom, the library, and a little café where i got myself a triple chocolate chip cookie! it's really yummy.

admittedly, this is more of a quick brain dump.

i'm sorry i've dropped off the face of the earth again. my break's off to a good start so far.

the party went well. my professor brought lots of gimbap and some fried chicken. i brought some jellies, and another classmate of mine brought chips, yakgwa, and some maeil yogurt drinks. then we got to play some games for extra credit n chat, and it was really fun :D

nothing really happened over this weekend; i slept a whole bunch. but when i wasn't sleeping, i cleaned up my room a little more, and began rewatching lotr. started playing sw4e again, did some coding, ate some really yummy canelé. i don't exactly have any plans for this break, though.

i have many more fleshed out posts in my mind, but i'm still really tired and my word brain isn't working at the moment, so i will write it tomorrow...

but! there is one thing i know i want to say.

happy happy happy belated birthday to my friend koi~ i missed it, i'm so sorry ㅠㅠ but! i hope you can accept this virtual cake from me still. yogurt cake base, with lychee jelly and vanilla buttercream, topped with strawberries that aren't too sweet. it's elegant and cool but packs a fun punch, which is how i see you, hm hm~ i hope this year is filled of many more fun adventures and wishes coming true (big and small)~ eep!

finally friday! even though it's the 13th... spooky. 

i worked on my april layout today, since i got another burst of inspiration. and then i put together a really pretty header (seen below~). what for? i'm not sure yet~ but i'm currently using it as my laptop wallpaper. it's a little tooooooo small, but i think the slight blur sorta ties it all together in a way.

in my weather class today, my prof said that isotopes of an element depend on protons and i almost bit my tongue off because NOOOOOOOOO ㅠㅠ it's electrons............. but i was too terrified to speak in a dead-silent hundred+ person seminar hall, and so i just mentally flopped around about it like a fish. mind fish.

anyway. what are your thoughts on personality types?

is this the actual new theme? no, this is just to hold myself over for a while... i usually don't make graphics or save more recent pics of idols i like, but this one felt very spring, ironically. i felt as if the blue theme was getting a little too cold, and since spring is coming, why not make something warmer? but i haven't quite found an akanishi pic that sparks the inspo i'm looking for yet. (also sorry ur guys' buttons have dashed borders!!! i tried setting border to none, even with important, but it's not working </3)

speaking of photos, though. today's pic of akanishi is very spring also! i just stumbled across it today and thought it was perfect~

today is my friend's bday! i can't get her gift to her yet since she dorms a ways away from here, but i'm gonna give it to her over the weekend. eep, i'm so excited~~~

it's going to hit 90F next week, plus whatever humidity adds onto it. save my soul. at least my uni's campus has lots of trees and grass, so that should help cool down the area somewhat... hopefully... fingers crossed... (honestly, it's sort of ridiculous. april and may are some of the hottest months of the year, but the actual summer ends up being cool... and then back-to-school season becomes scorching again. not fair!!!!!!! why can't it be hot when i can actually stay home!!!!!!!)

i'm going to go eat a cupcake and play samurai warriors now. EEP!

the center of it all

midterms officially over! i feel okay overall. i studied hard and tried my best, and the rest is up to fate... and strawberry cake. i finally got to try it~ it's delicious~

aside from that, i started messing around with the adapted blogger layouts i shared before. admittedly noooottttt super into it? but it's passable. i probs just have to tweak it some (read: a lot) more before i'm confident in it. it's easier than i thought, also. you just have to mess with the variable values / completely replace them with what you want. of course there's the blogger theme editor, but that's not as robust as just adding the code yourself, eep. at the very least, now i can add gadgets to the sidebar. that's sorta cool.

in case that doesn't work at all, though, i also edited another layout from createblog as a backup... though at some point, i think i should start coding them from scratch. i dunno. might be fun to branch into sharing more than just spacehey layouts. 

tomorrow's just my online class, so after i get my second round of sleep i'm probs gonna focus on that new theme, as well as jinpudding. i said i'd add more to the homepage but i never did, eep...

i seemed to have figured out a way to circumvent blogger's uncooperative cookies policies regarding images. i just have to use my ipad, and add the images in from there. soooooo, crisis solved!

anyway. other than that, today was pretty boring. it was one of those days where it's so hot and humid that you can't even think, yk? so i just lazed around and watched yt videos and scrolled through pinterest for inspo all day. i tried finding images to make a new murasaki diaries header, but nope. the concept continues to elude me.

yesterday was pretty fun, though.

but uhhh yeah...! i was thinking a lot about that one citrus layout i adapted last summer, and wanted to do that again. but without all the pain of using z-index and translations, ykyk? so i made this background, and set it to the background of main. then i used margins, width / height adjustments, and translations on both main and profile to make it fit perfectly~ the content scrolls a little bit over the kiwi on the top left corner, but other than that it's pretty seamless. you can check it out on my layout site if you wanna see how it works for eels! 

eep, new layout type! now i have to try this with other fruits... and foods in general... and things...

(weirdly enough, though, i've never really liked kiwis... i've always thought they were pretty, but i don't really like them.)

sorry again for the disappearance. it's time for all my midterms! so far, they've gone okay. could've gone better, but i'm still passing v well, and they're breadths anyway so i don't really care that much.

i meant to change my spacehey layout the other day, but then i got struck with a lightning bolt of inspo at like, 3 am... and now i can't decide which layout to choose. i'm inclined to choose the newer one, tho. even though i'm super happy with how the grid switcharoos turned out in the older one, something still feels vaguely wrong about its composition, and i can't pinpoint it. i'll save it for a later month, or perhaps the site...

and this will be the return of the stamp marquee!!! i'm so happy. i missed it sm. (except i think i have to change some links, since neocities links are now deprecated... and the most awesome stamp maker on tumblr disappeared!!! he deactivated his account........... </////3)

other than that, i've been relaxing all weekend. scrolling around the webs and reading. i also picked up the pac-man world 1 remaster on switch (it was on sale for $6, literally a steal), so i'm playing that as well~ and i have put together my friend's gift! i'm so excited to give it to her. i think she'll really like it~

i have another question coming up in my mind right now, but i think that'll need a whole new post, so keep your eyes peeled hm hm~

started watching kamen rider den-o (the one with takeru satoh). only the first episode, but i'm really interested in how things will unfold!!! i recall seeing lots of images of it while on my little takeru satoh pinterest save speedruns, so i wonder when the scenes i've seen in screenshots will come to fruition...

i also found a place to watch one of my favorite j-dramas (not gokusen teehee) after it was put behind a paywall-- i'm so thrilled! can't wait to rewatch. also has some other interesting shows and movies, so i'm going to be watching some good things this break~
