it appears i was a bit careless the other day with the grey ipod and might have kept it in the sun? because the screen suddenly looks really bad. well, not suddenly. happened gradually, but only in the span of like... an hour. the colors are all messed up. i'm going to do a restore just in case it's not a hardware issue and somehow corrupted itself again, but it's not totally unusable in its state so i'm not too worried. and it's not the craziest thing it's thrown at me, either.
i don't think i recall ever sharing this, but sometimes i think the device is haunted. or modified in some supernatural way. unless apple back then was just somehow that good at making devices, what i've got is unnaturally resilient. but maybe that's just because i (and naturally others) have come to accept devices with short life spans. it's a strange little device.
but i digress. i'll also do a full restore on the blue ipod, see what its capabilities are in terms of photo, video, audiobook... part of me wonders if the amount of songs on there is contributing to the short battery life, but i doubt it. it feels strange, but i'd hate to just leave it unused. so, it shall undergo a transformation.
sort of a silly idea, isn't it... because music is so intertwined with our personalities. ipods have personality...!!! that's a funny thought... would be an interesting story, too.
random, but the weather's been getting warm lately. and i realized something-- during warmer weather (and warmer months... and warmer seasons...), i usually tend to crave pasta dishes. when it's cooler out, i crave rice dishes. i wonder why that is.
