hey hey, eugene's back~ they're feeling a little better. went on a walk today and got something sweet to drink. thankfully not much homework this weekend either, so much of their time can be used for rest and silly little hobbies. for one, they already started working on their january layout! super exciting.
i've been in a bit of a reading slump lately, but this one book i've picked up seems to be somewhat promising? hopefully?
it's called the monstrous kind. quite melancholy at the moment-- the land is filled with fog that turns people into zombies (or phantoms), basically. mc is from a family immune to the fog, so they're supposed to uphold the lamps that create borders to prevent fog from creeping into the rest of the country and wreaking havoc. she's returned home, to...strange events occurring!!! she got no news of them while away, so it's all a mystery...
i dunno. it's pretty good so far, i like all the descriptions and the atmosphere. lolz, if only my library got it in october!!! would've been perfect. but anyway. the characters all seem striking and unique right now, which is good. there's, like... a lot of metaphors being used to describe things, which isn't bad, but... it gets a little tiring after a while, you know? but it's still pretty good and i can't wait to see where it goes.
i've also been getting some writing ideas, but i don't have the means to start writing them right now. i think the college essays broke that part of my brain for a time.
sotd: tears don't fall by bullet for my valentine
