eep, it's 03/03! i like when dates line up like that, ehehe.
today was pretty boring, mostly did work and scrolled through createblog for layouts i might want to adapt, plus some inspo for my next layout... i also finally found the pixel font that everyone used for graphics in the 2000s(, which is called visitor)! so glad. now i can finally execute my nostalgic graphic dreams as accurately as i can~
tho part of me wishes i would've found it when i was deeper into my akanishi phase, eep... for some reason, i somewhat expected more kat-tun layouts. oh well! perhaps that just means i have to make them, wink wink~
in general, i've been thinking a lot about layouts recently. and their preservation. createblog is the only site i know of, but it definitely wasn't the only one. where did all the other ones go? what were their names? i should probs make a forum post for it in the html group, but. i also know there's a lot of website layout sites that are still around today, but those look too modern, if you get what i'm trying to say. where are the layouts created by all the teens who had a bunch of free time and wanted to share their loves of particular anime on their pages? where did their sites go?
i suppose that'll be another project of mine; trying to dig up old things and save them / bring them to the future again. i wish i could've done that with all the images on the soompi forums, but there were so many... (i'm being so serious. the dbsk forum had like 1000 pages, and they said it was the tenth forum?????? no way in squid could i ever handle that alone, but most people who would know about it probably moved on.) and it wasn't preserved in the web archive, so that's now all lost media!!! agh!!!
perhaps someday a youtuber will make one of those retrospective / lost media iceberg vids about it, and then it'll see a resurgence. but you really have to wonder what happened regardless...
anyway. do you guys know what i'm referencing in today's title? the phrase seriously gets stuck in my head from time to time. it's satisfying to say, slides off the tongue really nicely. iced ijbol latte. eep.

yeah, there were definitely a handful of other sites. there was one that i visited a while back.. i forgot the name of it, but the site had layouts and graphics i believe. i hope u can find some layout sites soon! web preservation and lost media is so fascinating.
the title had me crying bc i immediately thought of this tweet with a picture of tiffany holding a coffee and smiling with the caption “me after i take a sip out of my iced ijbol latte” and it cracks me up EVERY TIME i see it.

but omg!! THE VISITOR FONT!!!! i see it everywhere. so glad you finally found it, now the nostalgic graphic dreams can become reality >:D (and YES you should definitely make those kat-tun layouts yourself... wink wink indeed.)
it does make me wonder. whenever i find a cool layout on cb i try to check if their site is still active, but it's almost always a dead link :( ALSO you reminded me! i was planning on archiving those long vacation and smap sites i found because it honestly feels like they're hanging by a thread ㅠㅠ

for the longest time..... i thought ijbol was a korean word LOL. i kinda want an iced ijbol latte now. and you're right, it does roll off the tongue nicely, huehue. iced ijbol latte.
