ugh, i've been super busy today with an econ thing. it was due the other day, but it's genuinely been so hard to find necessary sources. i don't exactly know how it'll affect my score, but i at least want to try my best before sending it in, y'know? so, it's taking a while...
i have more at the drive-in nonsense to ramble about.
so, as many bands did during that time, at the drive in had their own personal/band site. (which apparently was hosted on wordpress, according to the internet archive? interesting~)
i found about this because of some videos i happened to come across on youtube. short vids, little clips of the band just messing around, called home movies. mostly omar, but that checks out iirc? he's sorta totally into cameras and recording stuff. (there's one i keep repeating, only for how he says "it's a ghost!" in a cute voice at the end of it. agh.)
but anyway. a comment noted that they remembered seeing the vids on the band's old site, so i immediately went to the web archive to look for it. lo and behold! a site! obvi some pieces of it are missing because of how old it is (the oldest capture-- which is what i visited-- was taken from 1999, so), but it's sooo cool. they even have a visitor counter! and a little space to join an email list. it's referred to as a 2.0, so maybe they had another earlier site? but it seems it wasn't archived.
most of the images are missing, and there's no hints of videos either. i'm not surprised though, most of the crawling is automated and likely couldn't pick up the other bits and pieces from the site's server.
most of the webpages can't be accessed either, only their history? idk why that is. i hope it was safe for me to try clicking those buttons...
(though, maybe it could also just be a fansite? ugh. idk... it does refer to itself as atdi domination, and domination is moreso a rally for the fanbase if you catch my drift.)
