how have you been?
we're in the middle of a heat wave right now, but it's not that bad. i've been staying inside most of the time, except to take walks outside at night n look at the stars. couldn't really see anything notable as of late, aside from the full moon. it was surrounded by clouds... so beautiful.
i also turned in my very first writing draft for my writing class. and got feedback on it this weekend, and did some peer review! so fun. i was inspired by grouper's song heavy water / i'd rather be sleeping. in general i've been listening to a lot of grouper as of late, but another post on that is coming soon.
my mom and i watched a kdrama last night, 구가의 서, which is about a demigod searching for a way to become fully human. it stars lee seunggi and bae suzy. it can get really dark and depressing, but there's a lot of wisdom in it, and very sweet moments.
i went out this afternoon with my mom to walk around a little shopping center. checked out the bath & body works since my mom was interested in the soap sale, as well as sephora. they have a new tinted sunscreen from beauty of joseon that i was able to match! i've always been in between shades for like... ever. so to see an actual match was amazing.
after that we got dinner at a burger place n went home :p haven't done much sense, but i found some cool dividers on tumblr that i wanna use to make a layout, and i'm currently making gifs from some tohoshinki mvs... teehee.

i've been doing okay! thank you for asking. i recently finished my summer courses and now i'm just preparing for the first day back to school.. sighhh. this break was long and much needed but i'm not ready to let go of this freedom yet, lol.
ahh that's great to hear!! i'm certain the professor had lots of good things to say~ and peer review is always helpful, albeit a bit anxiety-inducing sometimes (at least for me).
suzyyy~ i wonder why a demigod would want to become human.. does the show explain why? it's an interesting concept to me.
it's such a satisfying experience when you find cosmetics and skin products that match and work for your skin tone. speaking of sunscreen, i need to go and buy some myself... thank you for reminding me, hehe~

for me it's the opposite, lolz! since we're all in it together, peer review doesn't scare me. n i love seeing what my classmates come up with! the professor is terrifying, though. an expert... but i totally get why peer review would be anxiety-inducing.
ok so that's... actually sort of early story? i think, guessing from what i read abt it on wikipedia since we started watching halfway through x|. kangchi's father fell in love with a human, so he wanted to be human with her and make sure their child would be safe. but he didn't and instead became a demon. and kangchi is a half..half demigod? who strives to accept himself and be who he is in an unaccepting society.
yes!!! also hope the sunscreen search goes well. if u'd like recs, i use biore's essence or innisfree's orange sunscreen lotion. they're v light and i don't break out :) but i also have combo skin, so if u have a different skin type take me with a grain of salt lolz.
