tried embroidery for the first time today. unexpectedly frustrating? but it looks nice so far, so i can't be too upset. especially considering that i chose something harder than i should have...

came about because the fabric store near me's closing down... so, my mom and i wanted to see what deals they had and what we could get. a penultimate visit, hopefully. there was a lot of lovely fabric and thread, and paper, and felt, and patterns, and books. it would be a shame...

finally got the felt i needed for the dolls, so i'm gonna start retracing the patterns. not sure about clothing yet, but i'll cross that bridge when i reach it. 

also a lot of snail memorabilia. i love snails. snails are my favorite animal, alongside octopuses. octopi? and cuttlefish. they're all so cute and kind!
