today was nice. i went out and checked out another local fabric store, which had some of the most beautiful prints i'd ever seen. i want to buy them all, but i have no ideas... *boohoo*... i also got a couple of buttons for doll eyes, but they were so expensive... i must use them...
also walked around a bit, went to a shoreline i haven't in a few years. that was beautiful as well. the water was pale and sparkling, and there were many birds and squirrels. the tide was super low, enough to walk further than one normally could. i didn't, though-- i didn't anticipate going to the shoreline in the first place and didn't wear the best pants / shoes for it. i did get to go out on a walkway, though, and found lots of shells (that i also didn't take).
thinking about it, i really missed the smell of briny water. it's really calming, somehow. called all the dreamy details of living in the forest into question, unless one can live in the forest and by the sea somehow?
a day of beauty, however brief...
