i used most of the things from my unused "wake up" layout for this, with a new header i made in photoshop. i saw this photo of jaejoong and knew i had to make something with it.
i don't know if i should actually use it, though. should i leave my spacehey account with my magnum opus, or a true dedicated layout to the end? leaving it as is makes me feel like it's an unfinished book or art piece, if that makes sense, if all my layouts were compiled to be one giant piece of art. but then again, i'm fairly sure few people-- if anyone-- in the myspace era ever made a "goodbye layout." we don't always know when things will come to an end.
and that's part of the beauty of it, right? we don't know when a particular last action will be made, or a last decision. it just happens, and those later on are left to wonder what happened to that person next... and, as a double, i wouldn't do this for friendrewind. but that's because i have more memories tied to spacehey, and the fact that such weirdness was baked into friendrewind from the beginning makes me feel weird.
i don't know. what do you guys think? i think i might be overthinking it. being a bit too dramatic about it.

the idea of a final layout seems good because it's like a final farewall to a place that was once served as a creative and social outlet for you. plus, whoever may come across your profile in the future will have a better understanding of what happened.
i know this is kinda unrelated to spacehey, but i've seen several accounts on glittergraphics where people left a note on their profile saying they moved to a new one, lol. in my opinion, i think a goodbye layout pretty similar to this! you make your last spacehey creation and provide people with other ways to contact you.
even if spacehey is eradicated someday, i don't see all this as being dramatic, but as a way to leave your last mark there and move on.
that's very true! also no worries about it being unrelated lolz, it's all in the old web space. the idea of a last spacehey creation is weirdly bittersweet, but here we are...
