this weekend was lovely~
the other day, i went out to a local library (not one i go to often) since it had a book i need for school. i also picked up some poetry that interested me, and the ninth doctor's season on dvd! :3 i think that officially completes everything i'll be able to get in-person for school, and i'm in a pretty good place now. all that's left is to get my sleep schedule back together...
i also walked around the area a bit, and found a couple of interesting boba places. might try them out if i have a chance to come back-- i don't often get to. but i'll have to return those books at some point, so... maybe then.
today! i met up with some of my elementary school friends today. originally it was supposed to be brunch, but the brunch place was packed (noon on a sunday... yeah, checks out), so we went to a barbecue place. looking back, i should've gotten something with meat, but i just got a grilled cheese and some fries since i wasn't really that hungry. maybe next time i'll get some pulled pork. the grilled cheese was really good, it had a ciabatta garlic bread bun~ we also chatted a bunch about movies, college, and stuff we've been up to in gen.
after that, we walked around a department store and looked at things. didn't get anything tho. and then we hung out at one of their houses and played video games. we played mario party jamboree, smash bros. ultimate, n rhythm heaven groove! i've never played any of these before, but i had a lot of fun. rhythm heaven groove especially! it was difficult, but we completed the final stage in the end. (we played tennis quest!)
since that same friend was getting back into splatoon 2, another friend and i played a couple of matches since we haven't played s2 specifically in forever... it's still more fun than s3, not gonna lie. ugh. i hope s4 doesn't drop the ball too. (my friends also complimented my skills, ehehe! :3 i felt powerful, lolz.)
and then after that, we went and got ice cream and chatted about memories in a parking lot. it's a small place only found in that town, but it's become seriously mainstream lately... every time we go, there's a line. don't get me wrong, i'm happy for it, but it's also a bit bittersweet when something suddenly becomes so big, yk?
and now, i'm home! i took a shower, decorated my bag, ate some dinner... also learned that people create sports out of anything. poking around on youtube, my mom and i found videos for competitive slippery slide races and competitive pillow fighting. how fascinating.
that's a nice weekend to end the break, i feel. (well, i still have until wednesday. two more days of freedom...!)

omg forgot to mention... i also messed with jinpudding a bit, added the last of my spacehey layouts that weren't jaejoong-focused. should i add my unused jaejoong-focused layouts there? or will it be too much. graphics as well. idk! i feel like i should, just to have a place to archive them all safely, in case something happens to my accounts and laptop.
think i might also revamp the cyworld base again, to give it a new vibe for the school year. and what to do with my actual spacehey account? i'm not deleting it, of course, just for memories and to make sure i can actually check on what's going on. but should i make a farewell post? idk.

hey eugene, i'm happy to hear you had a nice weekend! a day out with elementary school friends sounds so wholesome and fun. it's amazing you guys have been able to keep in touch all this time, i love it :D
yeah, it can be kinda weird to see a place that was once small become so popular. it's good for business, but you can't help but feel a little bit sad. it's like your little sanctuary was overrun, lol.
competitive slippery slide races sound so fun?? i've seen a couple of strange sports (e.g. hobby horsing), but i didn't even know that was thing! i think i would participate in that... little me loved slippery slides.
i hope you enjoy your last days of break, and that the first day of school goes well for you!! talk soon~ ^_^
i'd say go for it! do it for the memories~~ and yeah, i've been wondering about what i should do with my spacehey acc, too.. i don't wanna delete it either! even though i doubt i'd ever go back there, i wish it was possible to at least deactivate the account. a farewell post might be a good idea tho!
hihi nara! sorry for the late reply :( but yeah, sunday was v nice~ and it is pretty crazy when i think about it, we have a lot of memories to share all the time already, despite being young...

i don't know if it's something different for the actual competition, but i used to have those plastic slip-n-slides you would lay out on the grass and it would spray water. you'd run and then slide across the mat. it was really fun!
