sifting through

unexpected wanderings.

i was originally planning to stay inside today, but i wanted to go out to clear my head. there's been a lot going on from multiple fronts, and i thought going to the beach would be good for me.

i spent two hours walking up and down, looking at the waves and the rocks. there were some massive pieces of driftwood that i rested on whenever i got tired, which was sort of cool. i should've taken pictures of them. i picked up some rocks to keep at home, and one to give to my irl friend. they look a little dull now that they're dry, but in the water, they were somewhat translucent. something something being in the right environment helps you glow.

then i went down to a little shopping area to get a snack, which ended up making me feel sick. it was from a place i usually like, but i think they changed their oil to one i'm allergic to. oh well.

i wanted to settle down at the library, but all the tables and chairs were taken up since the grade school students had just gotten out of class at that time. so i went back out and found a place to rest at a park until i got picked up again.

was i ultimately right? um. somewhat, i think. i wasn't able to resolve the main thing on my mind, but i was able to rejuvenate myself enough to continue studying with feeling dreadful. but it was also more general clarity than i can work with right now-- i can't do anything to get myself out of particular situations. at least i can define some things now.

in other news, i've been listening to a lot of thursday recently. which is... sort of a weird coincidence? about this time last year, i got into at the drive-in. and now, i'm getting into thursday. not that they're necessarily related or close, but they're in the same genre. so i guess i'm always in the same [musical] mood around this time of year.

eugeneee hellooo! :D i’m glad ur day out was rejuvenating. sometimes you don’t even need to solve the thing in your head immediately, just loosen the knot a little so you can breathe again~ also omg……… hello shakespeare? that line was deep!! i hope the little rock finds its glow in its new environment somehow. and WAIT i was literally thinking about this too… certain months just come preloaded with specific genres somehow. the second the weather gets warmer i start looping trot music every morning, LOL. hope things start feeling a little lighter soon, even if only bit by bit :]
