ok i was listening to some osts on youtube while doing my project work, got this in my recommendations, and TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE??????
enter, the heartbroken chocolatier jdrama ost!!!!!! released in 2014. it is so sparkly and beautiful, i feel like i'm falling into a sweet paradise. from the first second of marble, i felt like i had returned to the world of cute faces on marshmallows, multi-colored ipods, and galaxy patterns brushed into the pastel-dyed hair of various cartoons. i genuinely haven't thought of those things in FOREVER.
and now i'm suddenly so nostalgic for that era of cute things... i remember my mom showing me some things on her pinterest account and seeing all those posts from chibird, sheldon the tiny dinosaur, and... nutella? now that i think about it, nutella used to be everywhere in mid-2010s web spaces. don't recall why, though.
i feel like jaejoong when he opens his arms to the sun in the rising sun mv, but instead of in a cathedral, he gets transported to a mid-2010s mall whose food court is being solely held together by a totally awesome crêpe shop. and there's a sanrio store, because sanrio stores in malls still existed!!!!!!
i miss sanrio stores. i haven't been in one since i was in elementary school, but they were fully decked out in pink and had the most amazing selection of stationery... unfortunately most sanrio stuff is way to expensive nowadays. like i get that you're paying for the brand and the character, but... idk. it feels egregious. unless it's always been egregious, and now i'm old enough to notice.

OOOOOOO for that whole 2010s cute era... do you remember weheartit?? (it's inactive now for some reason). i remember seeing pics like that on there! and there was that "... and i look like... a potato" meme too! i miss that potato ;;
also the jaejoong in the rising sun mv comparison is sending me BAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA the crêpe shop food court and sanrio store imagery is way too accurate. and yes... everything is so expensive now, it hurts........... i just admire from a distance now...

OMG WEHEARTITADKJFHSDJKFHASKJ so many pins used to be from there, it was sorta crazy. and then it disappeared... AND THE KAWAII POTATO!!!!!!!!!!! the potato posts were so fun.
