air surf

i'm pretty tired right now (i'll probs have to take a day off sometime this week), but i wanted to write out the things that happened today.

i woke up really early this morning so i could join my mom in her travels out to the beach town that she goes to every week. she dropped me off along a shopping street, and then went to go take care of business. in the meantime, i decided to find a place to study, since the library wasn't open yet...

i decided to go to a place my family and i often go to, and got some mango nectar. but then the mango nectar tasted like cardboard? which was like um... ok. strange.

and then at a second place, i decided to try their hot chocolate........... and it just tasted like milk ㅠㅠ even after mixing it, the drink was just straight milk. and it was the specific type of milk that upsets my stomach, so i couldn't continue drinking it. but i did stay at the place for a little longer, to try and get some work done. but even that didn't turn out well and i couldn't do that for long, because for some reason, writing applications on ipad ignoring return and arrow key inputs? which was bizarre, but. whatever.

but by then, my favorite bookstore opened up, so i walked to it and read a bunch of food books while listening to my vampirism playlist. that was fun~

after that, i went to the library. i got to check out howl's moving castle and a baking book completely comprised of small-batch recipes. i can't wait to look through it and try some out :3

about half an hour later, my mom finished up what she needed to do, so we got lunch and then went out to a new korean market!!!!!!! it was pretty cool, somewhat packed and cramped, but the items had a lot of variation. i found out the company that makes strawberry and banana (and peach & lychee..................) milk also makes vanilla milk, so my mom and i picked up a pack to try. and i was also able to get some of the foods necessary for my korean project, that my group talked about in our script.

they had something called a sticky rice cheese ball, which was interesting... i wasn't entirely sure how i felt about the texture, but it was good with tomatoes, and the cheese was good. we also got some hotteok, with one of them being filled with brown sugar boba~ so i'm excited to try that, too.

looking ahead... i have a lot to do. i'll have to stay out a lot later than usual tomorrow for our recording. a lot of things to write, and i have to edit the video for my group's korean project. i think. i dunno. no one decided on who will edit it, but i should be prepared, right? maybe i'll take two days off this week, on a second thought...

so, yeah. boring upd8 2dayyyy

hi eugene, it sounds like you had some cool adventures yesterday!! sorry to hear the drinks tasted disappointing TT i'd be so baffled in such a situation. (like, how do you mess up hot chocolate?? lol.)

i'm glad things lightened up a bit at the bookstore and library tho! i love flavored milk..... i don't usually like banana flavored things, but i've wanted to try banana milk for the longest. i hope the vanilla milk turns out yummy!! let us know :D and ofc, i wish you the greatest luck on the group project~

the rice cheese ball sounds interesting, i would definitely try bc i am a huge fan of rice and cheese. also, the brown sugar boba-filled hotteok sounds like the perfect treat for you. i hope it tastes amazing!

sounds like a busy week ahead, so i hope that the days are kind to you and that you're able to take some days off when necessary. take care and talk soon, eugene!!!

ugh, that mango nectar tasting like cardboard and the hot chocolate being basically warm milk is just cruel ;; at least the bookstore and library came through. the sticky rice cheese ball sounds delicious~ i'm a fan of rice n cheese combos. it's nice and savoury (i can see why the texture would throw you off) and oooooo i hope you enjoy that hotteok >:3 (brown sugar boba filling sounds delish). also, howl's moving castle mentioned!!

hope you get those days off and the editing work doesn't all land on you. sending good luck for the korean project, eugene!!!
