approaching the dream.............

aaaaaaaaaa you guyssssss!!!!!!!! a demo was just released today for the upcoming tomodachi life game. i downloaded it as soon as i could!!!

admittedly i should've played through it a little slower... i finished the whole demo in a few hours, haha... and i would show screenshots, but for some reason they aren't allowing screenshots and videos directly captured on the switch to be uploaded to other devices... ugh!!! maybe i'll take some pics thru my phone and show them that way. won't look pretty though, eep... ㅠㅠ

anyway. from here on out there's a good chunk of spoilers, so keep ur eyes closed if u don't wanna see them!!! 

you can only have three miis move onto ur island in the demo, and the demo ends when you give your first mii their first outfit. 

my first mii was myself! i named them yuzu. tbh i'm sorta bad with faces, so i think all my miis based on real people will look a little strange, but i love the new editor regardless. there's so many more options; i especially love how they expanded the hair! ombré dye, lots of different curly styles and protective styles, and lots of eye options. the face paint is pretty cool, but i don't think i'm going to utilize it much.

the voice editor is as funny as always. the new intonations and deliveries should help to make voices more diverse! i'm also glad that they give players the option to share how words are pronounced alongside their spelling as well! so you don't have to see the strange spellings that help the text-to-speech pull off the pronunciations.

i'm pretty familiar with mii personalities already, so my mii's personality ended up being very accurate! it refers to me as a considerate daydreamer, haha. it says folks under this type are "amicable; idealistic and romantic. often has their head in the clouds, but finds a lot of great ideas up there." i'm really happy with it.

so, then my mii moved in! interiors aren't unlocked in the demo, so they n all the other miis just have a bare room ㅠㅠ

you're familiarized with food and the "warm fuzzies" system. when you gather warm fuzzies from your miis (positive experiences and emotions... which sounds sorta horrific when i think about it for too long), you can pour them into the wishing fountain, where those warm fuzzies can build towards wishes! then those wishes can unlock things to gift your miis, like quirks and hobby items. i gave my mii the quirk of saying "eep" after a good chunk of their sentences.

your first mii will say they're lonely... so then, you add a second mii! can you guess who mine's was...............

i'm still not totally sure about his hair, but i did get his personality pretty down i think. he's an outgoing dynamo: "sociable; assertive and highly regarded. trusts their own instincts, and easily commands the respect of others."

when you create miis after your first one, you can use the family tree to set who they're related to, or partners of. i'm so appreciative of this.

after the second mii moves in, you get to introduce them to each other and watch some super cute cutscenes and watch them develop into friends! i literally couldn't stop smiling. thankfully i saved a video of their cutest interaction so far!!!!!

oh, also. when you're getting their friendship to develop, sometimes the miis will ask you for a topic to start the conversation... i gave the second mii the word song, but it was placed into the wrong context and ended up becoming so funny AJKDFHJDKSFH. 

"would you like to talk about... a song?"

"sure, but let me ask you this... if you had to choose, would you pick a large song or a small song?"

[the rest of the conversation pans out well]

"behold the friendship power of a GINORMOUS song!"

like, sure. perhaps they're both listening to a 20-minute long concerto on honeydrop island as we speak. KDJAHFKJSDHFKJASHDFKJ

anyway. after they become friends, they can refer to each other using nicknames! which is so cute.

after that, you can introduce your third mii. the clothing store opens up, and you're introduced to other island happenings such as games and dreams. and the mii news!!!

my third mii's a princess named amethyst. she's a considerate cheerleader, and so adorable!!! while being amicable, she's also "positive, enthusiastic, and always beaming. smiles for their own sake and to help others smile too." i actually used the new face paint function to add some star stickers on her face, since she's a princess from another planet. i wish i could hug her!!!!!!! but at best i have to draw her instead, sad eep...

and, uh, yeah! that's it for the demo... can't wait for the game to come out, for eels for eels!!!

anyway. outside of that, i did some reading, some career stuff, and worked on the extras for jinpudding. i think... i might want to make a new layout for it already. i think the layout i picked up is too complex for what i currently... really want jinpudding to be? if that makes sense? i wanna keep it simple again, is what i'm trying to say.

so, right now i'm looking through some more jj pics to make a new header...

oh, and! i put together a new april layout, inspired by airplane by f(x). i'm so in luv with it, i think u guys will be too. i can't wait to show it!!!
