sorry this is super late, but i just wanted to add some notes on the coding progress i made 2day for jinpudding.
i got a layout from itinerae to customize, made + added a header, my music player, links, pfp, and basic info about myself on the sidebar... also customized all the colors and icons. weirdly, it ended up looking a lot like a layout i'd use for the murasaki diaries. things like that happen, i suppose.
nekoweb recently added support for a handful of ssi directives, so i tried out the layout directive that they shared. didn't work as i expected (as it turns out, it cancels literally everything above and below the content block, so i can't customize the footers or content within the head tag as need be). i'm gonna try and use the include directive tomorrow. that means i'll have to split up my html template into multiple files, but it's worth it. it'll probably more organized, though bulkier, if that makes sense. that's okay~
i have to admit though, the process is giving me flashbacks to struggling with all the layout work for hyphenland. gah. that was a nightmare............ ㅠㅠ
also. when the absolute squid did we stop using www in urls? i could've sworn i've been using it this entire time, and suddenly all my devices are telling me urls with www are risky. huh? what? has it always been that way and i just never thought about it? i'm so confused.
(should i have done homework with the amount of time i worked on this site today? yes................ but i did do some homework! trust. perhaps just not as much as i would've liked. haha............)

ooh, it sounds like u made a LOT of progress! how exciting, i can't wait to see how it looks when everything is done~ i wish u lots of good luck using the directive, and hopefully the process is not as nightmarish as in the past..
we stopped using www? i didn't pay much attention but i can still use it just fine. risky?? that's strange.
OOOOOO the jinpudding progress sounds so satisfying despite the ssi headaches ;; the layout looking like this site is just proof your style is consistent (in a good way!) i can't wait to see it too!! >:3
and the www thing........... UHM?? when did that happen??? this better not be a sign that it's outdated.... also, homework can wait, coding is basically problem solving homework anyway right? >:D (jk!! do your homework eugene!!!!!)

EHEHEHEHEHE IT ISSSSSS, i'm so glad to see it coming along. and u're right! part of me just wishes it looked a little more different. but oh well, i'll throw things at the wall and see what sticks. =
I DON'T KNOWWWWWW, i feel like i just noticed it. and when i searched it up, it appears that it's been slowly phasing out for like. a while now............. which is so weird. what is the point. (EEEEEEP i did do it :3)
