happy valentine's day!!! i hope you've had a wonderful saturday~
i finally got to go on an adventure~ my mom and i checked out the new japanese market that opened up near us. then we checked out the new items at uniqlo, got boba and fries, and walked around a little shopping street. there was a super cool bookstore that was somewhat laid out like a maze. lots of diagonally arranged bookshelves much taller than me, creaky staircases. the smell of old books, of course, mixed with a soft hint of damp plaster towards the back (not in an unclean way, but. damp. yk?).
overall, pretty fun. i'm going to make another post later solely dedicated to the new market (with photos? maybe?) so please stay tuned~
in other news, the layout swap has ended. sorta? i'm holding out a bit, for the final ones, and then i'll remove everyone and clean it up a bit for the next cycle. if there is one. i'll make a bulletin post on spacehey asking for feedback n changes tomorrow, and suggestions for another layout swap? possibly? if people are interested. dunno when it would be, though.
special shout-out to koiiiii :3 i luv da layout. i've been meaning to make a tomodachi life layout for forever but it never felt quite right. it's like u read my mind ㅠㅠ
oh, n speaking of layouts. i think jinpudding needs another revamp. might work on that this week...
i had a really weird dream yesterday morning, after i woke up the first time but before i got out of bed. that weird in-between phase where time is sludge.
the dream was that the earth's atmosphere would collapse in a set amount of time. all at once. like, somehow scientists found out that it was going to happen, and when it would, and there was a big panic over it. i think it was explained to be a cosmic event? due to some sort of interference from outer space. the effects on us and other life was thoroughly explained and documented online, on tv, etc etc... people stockpiled items and caused stampedes at stores, for no good reason, really.
most of the dream followed what people were doing to prepare. there was this big phenomena where people would "practice" (for lack of a better term) experiencing the effects of a collapsed atmosphere, in a massive dome-y planetarium thingy that could move like an earthquake simulator. lots of long goodbyes, afternoons spent between friends to etch each other into their memories. i never got to actually see the atmosphere collapse, though.
aside from everything, i got some data work done today. feels nice to be a little accomplished.

hi eugene!! i hope u had lots of fun at the new market! i can’t wait to hear more about it. that bookstore sounds very intriguing as well!
the first swap was so much fun, thank u eugene!! i loved seeing the layouts u guys made. when i saw the tomodachi life layout koi made i was like “that’s so eugene.” it’s perfect for u and so cute!!
woah, that dream sounds like it would make an interesting movie! i love end-of-the-world type movies, so i would watch this for sure. but just imagining this event happening irl… like what do u even do in that situation?? my family would probably be panicking too lowkey.
YAAAAY!!! BOBAAAAA!!!! ALSOOOO THAT JAPANESE MARKET ADVENTURE SOUNDS LIKE A DREAM. sounds like the kind of place i'd get lost in for hours (and happily so). the old book smell with a hint of damp plaster... i know exactly what you mean.
and yay i'm so so glad you like the layout!! ;; mission accomplished!!! >:DDD it was so much fun to make~!! (and jinpudding revamp... exciting!!!!!!)
that dream though... WHOA. the in-between sleep phase really does produce the weirdest, most vivid stuff. i agree w nara tho! that would make an interesting plot for a movie xD
YESSSSSSS UGH, if there were less people i'd spend so much more time there. i'm glad u know what i mean also ㅠㅠ sometimes it feels like i'm fighting for my life trying to describe book smells LOLZ
AAAAAAA THANK U AGAINNNNNN *sob* i'm happy u had fun coding it too, that's the most important thing >:0
U'RE SO RIGHT, it's either sleep paralysis or the craziest dream i've had all year... it's so weird. perhaps i should keep this stowed away somewhere too, eep...? x0
i did!!!!!!! :D eep, can't wait to share more ehehe.
YAYAYAYAYYAYAY GLAD U ENJOYEDDDDDDD, the layout reveals were so fun omg. everyone hit it out of the park~ sharing gifts n watching people open them is so fun :3
ooooooo really? u're right tho, what would u do... how can you really prepare for that? there's no tech available to make any meaningful change on the chances of survival, so... panicking is valid. fingers crossed there are no massive natural earth-shattering events anytime soon.
