going back to school tomorrow.............. boooooooooooooo :( i might help out with some music magazine tabling tho, that could be fun. i'm also switching back into korean 1a, which is a massive relief~
i'm currently planning out my major map, going back to assuming an english major stance. pretty fun actually, being able to purely focus on the major and having fun after filling out my breadths early. not to say that english isn't hard, but. i think i'm doing the right thing. and along the way, i can have fun and taste some other subjects~

... this is so random but did anyone else ever use asianfanfics? i remember when i wrote fanfic in the 8th grade (distance learning gave me a lot of time ahaha...), i uploaded all my fics there to archive them. but then i deleted it as part of a massive... purge? sort of? of things from a group i came to be deeply uncomfortable with. but it's a pretty fun site, to read nostalgic fanfic. i remember being a big fan of all the opportunities for interaction, and the styling!!! you could use custom html and graphics to style your fanfic any way you wanted to. pretty unique~
it's weird, with that group in particular. now that i'm sort of exploring dbsk content and the fandom, they show up adjacent to it. they're more popular with people my age now, but i don't feel much love for them anymore. i miss the way i was able to interact with other fans, the joy and excitement it brought me, how much i loved the music and the variety shows and the silliness. but i don't miss them in particular, just the feelings and experiences. it's sort of sad, actually.
i don't think i can exactly find that again. i'm not super willing to engage in fan spaces as much as i used to be, mostly because i feel a little too old to be there now? and i prefer to be more aware of things in general. like i dunno. maybe i'm just taking things too seriously.

it’s funny that u mention fanfics, bc how did u know i was up late on ao3 last night??? i’ve never heard of asianfanfics before, so thank u for bringing it up!!! i did plan to do some reading this year so this is great~
i feel the same way, i just can’t fangirl like i used to. i used to be crazy for k-pop but now it’s like.. “wow, i like this group/idol. the music is nice! anyways, what should i eat for lunch?” being a k-pop fan is not my whole life anymore since i’ve gotten older (and busier). it does make me sad sometimes, too.
despite this, i am sure that there will be other things and people to love and have fun with as we grow up! close friends, significant others, and maybe even a trusty vacuum cleaner.

and ASIANFANFICS... CORE MEMORY UNLOCKED!!!!!!!!!!! i totally get the feeling. that certain era of being a fan just hits different because of who you were back then, not just what you liked. it doesn’t mean you’re too old or too serious now, just that you’ve changed (which is normal… sometimes annoying, but normal). you can still enjoy things, just in a way that fits who you are now. kinda bittersweet.... :,>
