it's super cold today!!! gah!!! but regardless, i had a really fun wandering day~
there was a holiday market going on in a nearby town, so my mom and i went to check it out. i definitely should have worn more layers, but the event was heartwarming enough~ i swear, out of all the markets i've attended thus far in my life, the items in this one were the best and most lovely i've seen thus far (especially in this era of markets that's filled with bulk items and ai art, if you catch my drift). the coolest metal and glasswork jewelry ever, as well as clay, and sewn products, and cupcakes... i got a red velvet cupcake, and they had a game of chance where you could win another free one. i got another free one!!!! myehehehehehehe, two red velvet cupcakessss :3
my favorite vendor i saw, though, was definitely a small perfumery that based their scents around their journey of mental health. i loved reading the anecdotes and how they connected to the scents, because there was also a lot i related to. it really made the scents more personal and comforting. and they had adorable small roll-ons and dropper oil perfumes, for just $7!!! getting into perfume has always been a little intimidating for me because of the price, so i was really excited when i saw how affordable it was. and they're even hosting a perfume workshop later this month!!! like, hello??? i'm so in love. i need to scream it from the rooftops.
after that, we went to a small second-hand media store. i got v for vendetta on dvd, and the full third season of psych. my mom also picked up a book full of patterns and instructions for making stuffies!!! i missed sewing, so i can't wait to look at it. maybe i'll make some as gifts, though i don't know who i'd make them for... (i swear if i had a penpal or closer friends i would make and send so much more handmade stuff lolz-- i used to last year!!!!!!!! waaaaaa ㅠㅠ)
honestly, this was a well-needed shopping excursion after all that's been going on with school... honestly i didn't do as well as i'd really like on that essay due yesterday, but i'm glad to have it behind me... and break's finally started! i can breathe easy and rest without worry. (well, still some worry really, because i have a few essays due in two weeks for the other finals... but at the very least i don't have to commute on campus for the rest of the year!!! (unless i actually want 2 bcuz of the computers n boba places))

YESSSSSS, $7 ROLL-ON PERFUMES!!!!!!! >:D they're mostly earthy n sweet, though somewhat cozy too. most of them have woodsy and floral note combos. (and right? it really makes the perfume so meaningful, especially depending on how you consider those themes in your own life. ugh. i will be thinking about this forever)
i want to make a robot or a dinosaur, to be a companion to the one i already sewed!!! a cat or a lamb sounds super cute too~ :3 i'm sure you could too, nara!!! stuffies are super easy n fun :D

that perfumery u found… that’s actually beautiful. scents tied to personal stories always feel warmer than the fancy overpriced bottles. and seven dollars???? that’s basically charity work. u better sign up for that workshop and become the fragrance boss of our friend circle >:D

right???? it's so easy nowadays for perfumes n fragrances to just be, and it's so overpriced and capitalistic, this is really a fresh breath of air... and i hope i'm able to make it, it's in a town i've never been to yet. maybe i'll get a friend or my sister to go with me.
