i had a really nice day today :)
so, the other day my sister-in-law reached out, saying that she and my sister were planning to get dumplings, and asked if i wanted to come along. so i did!!! and we went out for dumplings. and it was really nice. i didn't really talk much, because they're 30 and up, so most of it was focused on stuff i don't quite relate to, but it felt nice to just be included y'know?
after we got dumplings we walked around daiso a bit (i picked up some origami n decorative paper for a project), and boba, which was also good.
my sister had to leave, so at that point my sister-in-law and i went to another place n hung out n chatted. we talked about computer stuff, life, school. school especially since she's an alumni of the school i'm currently attending :p it was really nice, esp in the context of sometimes being unable to chat with my bio siblings about certain things for various reasons. it is what it is. but i'm really thankful.
anyway. today's sotd. i. love. it. so. much. i have for years, really. i remember learning about m.i.l.k because of sm's remastering project (which uh. seems to have stopped???? a shame. but anyway), and while the title track wasn't really up my alley, i loved this bside. it's the cutest. it really encapsulates the word fresh; like, whenever i listen to it, i think of pale blues and whites, and it's all sparkly and glossy. i love it. i should listen to the rest of the album, though...
oh yeah! my family does this thing where we open a gift a day (12 days of squidmas, ykyk, especially since a lot of gifts come from family friends). yesterday i got some headphones and a card with money. today i got a notebook and fountain pen.

that sounds like such a genuinely good day, i’m really glad u went :] being included without having to perform or fill space hits different. even just sitting there, listening, existing… that counts.
also that time with your sister-in-law sounds really meaningful. i’m really happy u have that connection; those conversations stick longer than we expect~
AND YES M.I.L.K. oh my god. reason is that song!!!!!!!!! criminally underrated. also the 12 days of squidmas gifts sound so fun!!! >:0 a notebook and fountain pen is such a “new year, new thoughts” pull. are u planning to use them for anything specific? :]

they do!!! just being there means so much. we're gonna hang out again next week, which i'm excited for too :D
YES!!!!!! REASON IS SO THAT SONG. IT NEEDS SO MUCH LOVE. n yes!!! i'm not really planning to use the notebook for anything specific (i already have like. a million tbh ㅠㅠ the curse of a writer), but i was thinking i could learn calligraphy or something of the sort with the fountain pen. i've always wanted to try using one.
aww, how sweet! i’m glad u had a nice time hanging out with them. i hope the dumplings were delicious~ and it’s nice that u were able to sit down and talk with someone about all different types of things. those are some of the most special moments.

thank u nara!!! the dumplings were really good :3 they had mostly pork n shrimp filling, but one had a pumpkin and pork filling, which was actually really good and had a nice texture! we ate them all tho, so i couldn't take them home <////3
