i spent pretty much the entirety of sunday coding, which was really fun!!!
i continued rebuilding hyphenland's css, and started putting together the css for my personal site's redesign. i also renamed it. yes, i know it's bad for the databases and seo (the latter of which i don't really care for), but i can't help it...!!! it doesn't reflect the purpose of the site...
basically, the personal site's redesign will involve three different stylesheets... which sounds a little stressful, but is also absolute heaven. i'll be dedicating myself to purely css and other creative things all break!!! so exciting. and besides, they're not even that hard to design. they mostly have the same color palette, the same core features. i just need to put them together for the sake of not losing my mind having to make every single change for each page.
anyway. there'll be one for the index page, one for the normal pages, and one for the writing section's pages. i'm mostly chipping away at the writing section right now, since i'm just building off of the one i already had. and i put together a simple title graphic, which is totally cute. i'm honestly so proud already... even though there's literally no content, LOLZ. the only barrier i can really see right now, is that i might have to use more grid... i was hoping to do it all in flex, but when i think about how i visualize the layout, it might not come true. ah, well. we'll see...
... you wanna know something funny? originally, i created that site to share my writing. but then i lost inspo for that particular project, and felt bad for it sitting, so i tried multiple times over to make it a sort of landing site for myself. that didn't work either. and now, i'm back to writing. interesting how things do and don't change.
i did the rest of my enrollment, and got out of the upper div easily. phew~ but the class i was hoping to take for my biosci requirement put my on the waitlist, at #3. i'm sort of hopeful, but i have another class lined up just in case it doesn't work out. and i'll probs spend the rest of the day flipflopping between the two in my mind. idk. should i take the free class just to ease my mind? or is that just my anxiety talking. what do u guys think!!!!!!!!!!!!! i trust u lots.
well, onto essay writing for me now. because i'll likely be on my computer so much just for those things, i likely won't be doing much else on the interwebs for a while. i'm gonna try and read!!! and sew!!! anything to give my poor pupils and irises a rest. ㅠㅠ wish me luck~

coding all sunday… honestly that sounds kinda heavenly. like yeah ur brain probably feels like microwaved tofu but in a good way. three stylesheets tho?? wow..... i never tried that, but it sounds like lots of fun :D i left my laptop at the new place so i can't code at all this week ;; i cri (alsoo same palette gang… we love efficiency).
what a full circle moment tho… (wild how life loops like that). and ngl the way u talk about ur site… it’s making me v excited!! i hope everything goes smooth for u, for real. (no weird plot twists pls)
about the classes… hmm... tbh if the free class won’t ruin anything and will keep ur brain from pacing in circles at 3am, i’d grab it. sometimes peace of mind is more valuable than making the “optimized decision.” also waitlist #3 isn’t bad at all… someone will blink wrong and drop the class, u never know. but yea… if ur gut is screaming, take the easy backup so u’re not stressing urself to dust.

yes!!! it totally was. i felt so accomplished, lolz. it's a good brain workout. sad abt ur laptop tho... i'm sure the time will past quickly! and hey, with all this time to think abt code, all the good ideas are marinating~

ah, i see... thank u!!! i think i'm going to keep it for now. i have about an entire month until fin aid disperses, so i should be fine. i'll keep a close eye on it. (unless this is just my stubbornness talking, lolz.)

wow, you got quite a bit of coding done! and using three different stylesheets sounds so cool! i've never heard of that being done before, but i'm sure the site will turn out amazing bc i have such creative friends!!! :D
honestly, i'd probably choose to take the free class bc it's available (and to ease my mind as well, lol). but like koi said, #3 on the waitlist isn't bad, and maybe a spot for the biosci class will open at some point. but if not, it's good that u have the free class to fall back on! ur peace of mind is so much more important than required classes! there's always time for the required class later. i am sure u will make the right choice for urself.
