i had a pretty nice day today.
only a couple of discussions, then i was home free. unexpectedly, i'm finding that i'm enjoying my old english literature class more than my modernist literature class. it could be because we're currently doing poetry in the latter-- and i don't... like poetry. at all-- but i'm enjoying learning about all the historical context behind the old english manuscripts and how translation of them can differ so much.after my discussions, i ate lunch and wandered around for a bit. i checked out a used bookstore and a thrift store. there were a few cute jackets at the thrift store, and i ultimately got a black n white herringbone jacket. there was a red corduroy ll bean jacket with fluff on the inside which was super adorable, but since i overheat too easily, i didn't think i'd wear it much. ah well.
the sun is returning next week... ugh. i wish i had one of those sun parasols nowadays. i was going to get one when i went to japantown last time, but they were a bit expensive... totally kicking myself for that now.
in other news, i made a new jaejoong edit. i'm trying out a new style of editing, thinking of design inspo / identity for the magazine idea. i even have a version with him having green hair, lolz. do you guys remember how people used to make hair or eye color edits in ~3rd gen? sort of bizarre, but i'm also a little nostalgic for those edits.
to be honest, i'm actually not all that into melon. i like cantaloupe, but that's about it. i don't even like artificial melon... the smell and the flavor makes me nauseous.
do you guys like melons? what kinds?

besides lyrical poetry, i'm not the biggest fan of poetry either. i bet learning about old english is a lot more interesting, so i can see where you're coming from!
that red jacket with the fluff inside sounds like such a cozy winter coat. but alas, it's still too hot unfortunately...
whenever i hear the word parasol, my mind immediately goes to the pretty lace ones. i would love to have one... how much were the ones you saw? i never considered that they would be expensive, but everything is high now, so.
HELPPP YES I REMEMBER!! those were such crazy times, but it was so fun. the jaejoong edits are so cute!! ^_^
i like watermelon and cantaloupe! honeydew is alright too, but it's not my first choice, lol.
oooo cool!
alas. but hey! i'm sure it'll land in the hands of someone who will love it much more.
the lace ones are so cute!!! these were more like basic umbrellas though, just with uv protection. they were like... $27 before tax. all uv umbrellas are fairly expensive, but it was still out of my budget at the time.
AAAAAAA YAY!!!! the galaxy hair edits were some of my faves, lolz. it was all so whimsical. also thank u!!!!! i'm very happy with how they turned out.
oooo v nice v nice. i haven't tried honeydew before, but it has one of the cutest fruit names ever!
